Christmas Card!

This is it! Our Christmas card. I did not get around to sending Christmas cards again this year. No real excuse, just very busy. So, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Christmas at the Capitol

Daniel's class was chosen to decorate a Christmas tree at the Capitol building and attend the lighting of the State Christmas tree with Governor Brad Henry and First Lady Kim Henry. He was so excited to be a part of all of the festivities. Their tree was really small but they decorated it with ornaments of all 50 states since they are in the process of learning all of the states and capitols. They all worked really hard at the eagle tree topper and it turned out very cute. Even Cole was able to put an ornament on the tree. The kids also made cards for the soldiers that will be sent overseas and enjoyed juice and cookies. So if you stop by the capitol building, check out Chisholm's tree on the 2nd floor. (Funny, I just noticed that they misspelled Chisholm).

Thunder!

What do you do when it is Thankgiving break and the kids don't have to be anywhere the next day, all homework and school projects are completed and no real plans have been made? Go to a Thunder game! What great fun and the boys LOVED it.

Gotta love homework!

Our favorite time of the day. NOT! Well Cole likes homework. Daniel, not so much. But dear son, you are learning so much. Much more than I could ever teach you.

Homophones! Remember learning about them? Yeah, makes spelling tests fun. I secretly love homophones. Something neat about words pronounced the same, but spelled differently with different meanings. Funny how that works.

Lots of reading in first grade. Cracking up at the stories.

Notice the peaches snack to the left. Gotta get the brain food in when you can.

Fall Break

We drove to Colorado for fall break this year. We drove up into the mountains to the Loveland Ski area and found that they are skiing on the mountain already. The mountains were so beautiful. We had a great time with family in Highlands Ranch. We enjoyed hiking, rollerblading, going to the park (their parks are the best), and we even went to a cool indoor rock climbing place to celebrate Cole's birthday. It was so much fun.

Happy 7th Birthday Cole!

Can't believe how old he is. I am very proud of this little boy. He has such a sweet heart and we love him so very much!

7 Things we love about Cole:

1. He is very thoughtful.
2. He is very imaginative.
3. He loves baseball. He plays shortstop and bats left even though he is right handed.
4. He loves school and loves to learn.
5. He is very funny and keeps us laughing.
6. He is very determined and does not know the meaning of give up.
7. He loves God and prays every night, "Thank you for God and Jesus, the whole world, my friends and Daniel's friends. My toys and Daniel's toys."

We love you Cole and we thank God every night for you too.
